About the Role
Whassan Nigeria Limited (WENL), in partnership with Adasa Catering Services Ltd, has been a premier provider of top-tier catering and facilities management services since 1982. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer to join our dynamic team on a renewable contract basis for onshore and offshore locations in Nigeria. Key Responsibilities- Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, regulations, and government agency standards across all onshore and offshore operational sites.
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental protocols specific to industrial catering and facilities management.
- Conduct routine safety audits, risk assessments, and hygiene inspections of kitchen facilities, food handling, and storage areas.
- Deliver comprehensive safety and food hygiene training sessions for catering and operational personnel.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and liaise with regulatory bodies as required.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant discipline.
- Possession of HSE Level 1, 2, and 3 certifications is mandatory.
- Mandatory certification in food safety and hygiene.
- NEBOSH certification will be considered a strong added advantage.
- 5 to 10 years of demonstrable industrial catering experience within a similar industry.
- Familiarity with Nigerian regulatory requirements and relevant government agencies.
- Good communication skills in English, with the ability to multitask and meet stringent deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and comprehensive knowledge of catering hygiene standards.
