About the Role
Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited is a wholly private indigenous pharmaceutical manufacturing group founded in 1984, dedicated to delivering high-quality products that offer real value. We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Lead to provide strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), and Sustainability frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Lead workplace health, safety, environmental, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, ISO standards, and corporate policies.
- Conduct regular factory, warehouse, and workplace inspections, identify hazards and residual risks, and implement appropriate control measures.
- Oversee incident, accident, near-miss, and fire investigations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and reported.
- Supervise the implementation of safe work procedures, Permit-to-Work systems, emergency preparedness, fire safety, and risk management practices.
- Lead waste management, environmental monitoring, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) activities, and pollution prevention initiatives.
- Ensure the effective implementation and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, environmental consultants, certification bodies, and contractors on HSE and environmental matters.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual HSE/ESG reports, dashboards, statistics, and compliance reports to management.
- B.Sc. degree in a Science-related discipline.
- HSE Level 3 Supervisory Certification and IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- NEBOSH certification and ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Health, Safety, and Environment within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or related industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, environmental regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
