About the Role
Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited is a leading indigenous pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Nigeria, renowned for delivering high-quality and affordable healthcare products. We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive HSE Executive to join our dynamic manufacturing plant team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant working environment by implementing rigorous health, safety, and environmental protocols across all operations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain optimal safety standards in all working areas, ensuring proper machine guarding and general area safeguarding.
- Enforce strict adherence to personal hygiene, sanitation, and mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance among all plant personnel.
- Monitor critical safety infrastructure, including earthing connectivity and grounding protocols during flammable material handling.
- Review, recommend, and release hot work permits, vessel entry permits, and general maintenance permits to safeguard plant operations.
- Conduct comprehensive safety training for all employees, focusing on critical process parameters, safe material handling, and Chemical Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Ensure timely reporting and documentation of all incidents, accidents, and near misses to the safety department.
- Organize and execute regular safety awareness campaigns, scheduled mock drills, and coordinate fire extinguisher refilling schedules.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant discipline.
- Must hold a recognized certification in HSE Level 3 or ISPON.
- 5 to 8 years of proven hands-on HSE experience within a pharmaceutical, chemical, or process manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency preparedness.
