Gardenia Resort, a premier family-owned boutique hotel in Port Harcourt, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join its hospitality team. This role is crucial to maintaining the resort's reputation for exceptional service, cleanliness, and comfort, catering to corporate executives, business travelers, and premium leisure guests in a serene, low-density environment away from city congestion.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to the highest hygiene standards
- Change bed linens, towels, and replenish guest amenities as required
- Ensure all rooms are properly arranged and inspected before guest check-in
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to supervisors
- Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly
- Maintain proper inventory of cleaning supplies and guest room essentials
- Respond promptly to guest requests for housekeeping services
- Adhere strictly to the resort's cleanliness, safety, and quality standards
- Collaborate with the front desk and maintenance teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy at all times
- Relevant qualification in housekeeping, hospitality, or related field is an advantage
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Good time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
