About the Role
Power Ark Infrastructure Ltd is a leading provider of end-to-end photovoltaic and energy storage solutions, empowering developing markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on High Voltage Engineer specializing in BESS and power distribution to join our dynamic team and help close the energy gap in growing economies.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, test, and commission high-voltage BESS and associated electrical equipment.
- Perform technical work on transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, protection devices, and 11kV/33kV power distribution systems.
- Integrate solar PV systems, battery storage, inverters, and electrical distribution infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot ATS, STS, EMS, BMS, and power conversion systems.
- Conduct electrical load assessments, cable sizing, fault diagnosis, and corrective maintenance.
- Interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and protection schemes accurately.
- Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards, approved designs, and manufacturer specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive technical, testing, commissioning, and maintenance reports.
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant hands-on electrical engineering experience.
- Proven practical expertise with high-voltage BESS and medium/high-voltage electrical distribution.
- Strong technical competence in lithium battery systems, BMS, EMS, ATS, and STS.
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults.
- COREN registration and relevant high-voltage safety certifications are distinct advantages.
