About the Role
Jamub Group is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy-Duty Construction Machine Operator to join our expanding team of field professionals. This role is critical to the successful execution of our construction and infrastructure projects, requiring an experienced operator who can handle a range of heavy equipment with precision, efficiency and strict adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities- Safely operate assigned heavy-duty equipment, including excavators, graders, bulldozers, rollers and loaders, for excavation, grading, loading, compaction and related site works as directed by the Site Engineer or Foreman.
- Conduct daily pre-use inspections of machinery, promptly reporting any faults, malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform basic routine maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Operate machinery efficiently and accurately to meet daily productivity and output targets while minimising fuel consumption and resource wastage.
- Comply fully with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) protocols and site regulations at all times.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently while on duty.
- Actively participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings held on site.
- Promptly report hazards, near-misses or incidents to the Site Engineer or HSE Officer.
- Maintain clear communication with site supervisors regarding work progress, equipment status and site conditions.
- Proven experience operating heavy-duty construction machinery such as excavators, graders, bulldozers, rollers and loaders.
- Valid heavy equipment operator certification or license as required by relevant Nigerian regulatory bodies.
- Sound understanding of construction site safety practices and HSE compliance requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret site instructions, grading plans and work orders accurately.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for conducting routine equipment checks and minor maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, physical stamina and the ability to work in varying weather and site conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented site environment.
- Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate; additional technical or vocational training in heavy equipment operation is an advantage.
