About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Head, Production to join our team in Nigeria. In this executive role, you will oversee and coordinate the efficient production of high-quality clinker and cement to generate optimal revenue, ensuring our plants operate at peak capacity while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development and articulation of the production strategy for Dangote Cement Plc.
- Create and manage the plant's production, capacity, and materials requirement plans.
- Prepare annual production budgets and ensure achievement of planned budgets through resource optimization.
- Coordinate and manage the production team to achieve daily targets within specified quality levels and timelines.
- Liaise with Maintenance to coordinate planned shutdowns of production lines and kiln lining repairs.
- Oversee raw and cement mill operations as well as the cement packaging system.
- Keep abreast of new developments in cement production and recommend process improvements.
- Provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and mentorship to the production team.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of twenty (20) years of relevant work experience, with at least ten (10) years in a senior management position.
- Strong, comprehensive knowledge of the local and international cement industry trends, regulations, and challenges.
