About the Role
Emerging Africa Capital (EAC) is a premier financial services group dedicated to facilitating investment processes for African entities, individuals, and global investors. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Trust to lead our trust business, drive revenue growth, and oversee fiduciary administration across Nigeria. In this executive role, you will be instrumental in expanding our client portfolio, managing high-value relationships, and upholding the highest standards of corporate governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Solicit, develop, and manage full-service relationships with trust clients and prospects, including sub-nationals, government agencies, corporates, and HNIs to achieve revenue targets.
- Lead day-to-day coordination, business support functions, and prudent resource management for the trust business.
- Oversee comprehensive trust and fiduciary administration, including payments, filings, bookkeeping, and client portfolio management.
- Act as director, nominee director, and authorized signatory for client structures while ensuring robust onboarding policies.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, manage risk exposure, and collaborate closely with internal compliance and accounting teams.
- Develop an interactive database for trust matters and collateral to streamline service delivery and coordinate annual trust accounts.
- Provide executive management with accurate, timely reports to facilitate informed strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Law, or a related discipline; a Master’s Degree or MBA is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in a trust and/or fiduciary services company within the financial sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in business development, client relationship management, and high-net-worth portfolio administration.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian regulatory frameworks governing trust operations and corporate governance.
