We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Strategy to partner with our executive leadership, Board, and portfolio companies to accelerate growth, enhance operational performance, and maximize shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the annual strategic planning, execution, and performance-monitoring lifecycle across the organization.
- Ensure all business strategies tightly align with the overarching organizational vision and long-term objectives.
- Evaluate portfolio performance meticulously to develop strategies that optimize returns and mitigate risks.
- Provide hands-on, high-impact strategic support to underperforming portfolio companies to reverse trends.
- Conduct rigorous financial and market analyses to spearhead business turnaround and growth initiatives.
- Support the comprehensive evaluation of new investments, strategic partnerships, and potential divestments.
- Monitor evolving industry trends, competitor movements, and macroeconomic developments in Nigeria.
- Deliver compelling strategic insights and actionable recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
- Prepare high-quality thought-leadership content tailored for investors, regulators, and stakeholders.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with portfolio-company leaders and key external partners.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the Strategy team, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is strongly preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in senior strategy roles within holding companies, private equity firms, or top-tier management consulting organizations in Nigeria.
- Proven expertise in corporate strategy, investment analysis, portfolio management, and business turnaround.
- Deep, practical understanding of the Nigerian business, market, and regulatory landscape.
- Exceptional analytical, financial-modeling, and complex problem-solving capabilities.
