About the Role
Agcelerant Nigeria Limited, powered by Manobi Africa, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to lead the strategic and operational deployment of the agCelerant ecosystem across target countries. This is a unique opportunity for a results-driven professional to shape Africa's agricultural transformation by fostering inclusive, transparent, and efficient value chains that empower smallholder farmers and investors alike.
Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer of Manobi Africa and the Director of International Development, the Head of Operations will coordinate country teams, manage strategic partnerships, and ensure the seamless implementation of agCelerant's innovative business model across diverse agricultural ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate in-country implementation of agCelerant through strategic planning and administrative and technical management.
- Supervise the quality of in-country operations, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and deliverables in line with best practices.
- Oversee financial and technical management of agCelerant projects and programs, including third-party contractors.
- Optimize and safeguard quality interactions among value chain stakeholders, including producer organizations, financial institutions, insurers, input providers, agro-industries, and public development actors.
- Represent agCelerant and the Manobi Africa Group at international meetings with potential partners, ensuring effective follow-up on established partnerships.
- Identify and develop new partnership and financing opportunities to accelerate agCelerant's local and international growth.
- Contribute actively to the Manobi Africa Group's broader strategic vision for the agricultural sector.
- University degree in a relevant field such as marketing & communication, social sciences, international management, international development, or agricultural sciences.
- Strong passion for leveraging digital technologies in agriculture or other sectors within developing economies.
- Proven experience developing and managing agricultural development initiatives in competitive environments.
- Established network and credibility with public and private agricultural development partners, with demonstrated success in partnership building and resource mobilization.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a senior manager leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong adaptability and resilience to thrive in diverse, complex, and evolving environments.
- Proven managerial expertise and success in building high-performing teams.
- Unquestionable integrity and credibility within the development sector.
- Professional fluency in English and French (spoken, written, and read).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
