About the Role
Human Capital Partners (HCP), a premier professional services firm rooted in the legacy of KPMG and Arthur Andersen in Nigeria, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Finance. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will provide comprehensive financial leadership, overseeing budgeting, reporting, treasury, and statutory compliance. This pivotal role also involves managing financial operations within the dynamic online sports betting and gaming sector, ensuring optimal cash flow and rigorous financial governance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts aligned with organizational growth and profitability goals.
- Manage the full accounting cycle, ensuring strict compliance with IFRS and relevant Nigerian tax and statutory laws.
- Oversee treasury operations, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and high-volume player wallet reconciliations.
- Monitor sportsbook and casino financial metrics, including Gross and Net Gaming Revenue, payouts, bonuses, and supplier fees.
- Establish robust internal financial controls, fraud prevention frameworks, and streamlined automated accounting systems.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team while providing actionable insights to executive management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Active membership in a recognized professional body such as ICAN, ACCA, or ACA.
- 8 to 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong expertise in IFRS, Nigerian tax regulations, financial analysis, and audit coordination.
- Prior experience in online sports betting, gaming, fintech, or high-volume digital business operations is highly desirable.
