About the Role
Gadol Finance Company Limited, a leading Central Bank of Nigeria regulated financial services provider specializing in fund management, loans, and advances, is seeking an experienced Head of Credit. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee all credit-related activities, drive effective risk assessment strategies, and manage the health and growth of our comprehensive credit portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the entire credit lifecycle, from origination and underwriting to portfolio monitoring and collections.
- Develop and implement robust credit policies, guidelines, and risk assessment frameworks aligned with CBN regulations.
- Manage and optimize the company's loan portfolio to ensure low non-performing loan (NPL) ratios and sustainable financial growth.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the credit and risk management team to foster high performance and professional growth.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and review complex credit applications to make sound lending decisions.
- Collaborate with executive management to align credit strategies with overarching business objectives and revenue goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certifications are a strong plus.
- 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in credit management within the Nigerian financial sector, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies and loan portfolio management best practices.
- Deep familiarity with regulatory guidelines set by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
