About the Role
Genesis Group, a leading Nigerian catering, hospitality, and entertainment conglomerate, is seeking a strategic and analytical Head of Accounts to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee day-to-day financial operations, guide overall financial health, and advise executive leadership to drive sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement long-term financial strategies, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts.
- Oversee general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and month-end or year-end closing processes.
- Manage working capital, liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and banking relationships.
- Establish and enforce robust internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks to ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws and statutory regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of accountants, financial analysts, and payroll staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACA or ACCA is strictly required.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, preferably within a large conglomerate, hospitality, or oil and gas servicing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, tax planning, and ERP financial systems.
