About the Role
WTS Energy, a leading global manpower supply and energy consultancy firm, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head, New Business Development (NBD) to join our operations in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. In this senior executive leadership role, you will spearhead the identification, structuring, and maturation of high-impact commercial opportunities across gas monetisation and related energy sectors through to Final Investment Decision (FID).
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end new business development across gas monetisation, LNG, LPG, CNG, power, petrochemicals, and low-carbon solutions, driving opportunities from initial identification to FID.
- Engage and build strong relationships with senior executives, joint venture partners, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders.
- Interrogate complex financial models, execute scenario and sensitivity analyses, and author robust investment memoranda, business cases, and board papers.
- Structure partnership, joint venture, and investment terms while steering due diligence for strategic partners and co-investors.
- Lead diverse, cross-functional teams collaboratively to deliver commercial and strategic business objectives within Nigeria's evolving energy landscape.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or the Sciences (B.Sc. or B.Eng.).
- Minimum of 15 years of comprehensive oil and gas experience, including 5+ years handling commercialisation opportunities and 10+ years in transaction advisory, private equity, downstream, midstream, or commercial engineering.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully guiding energy transactions and achieving Final Investment Decision (FID).
- Deep expertise in Nigeria's energy sector regulations, gas markets, and commercial frameworks.
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or CFA charter is considered a strong advantage.
