About the Role
Mohinani Group, a dynamic multi-sector conglomerate established in 1966 with operations spanning Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and international trading hubs, is seeking a results-driven Head of Business Operations to lead its integrated agribusiness (GHAP). Acting as Chief Operating Officer, this role provides direct support to the Managing Director and holds end-to-end accountability for operational performance across farming, processing, supply chain, and commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities- Provide executive management support to the Head of Farm Operations, ensuring timely execution of farm business plans and alignment of people, assets, and funding with strategic goals.
- Supervise factory operations to enhance productivity, focusing on capacity utilization, cost efficiency, OEE, and product consistency.
- Enforce robust QA/QC systems, traceability protocols, and compliance with regulatory standards and certifications.
- Lead, coach, and develop employees across multiple departments to build a high-performing operations team.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Build systems, processes, and strategic frameworks to support future operational growth and scale.
- Champion transformation initiatives, including digital tools, workflow automation, and business reporting/analytics dashboards.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
- 7–12+ years of progressive experience in agro-processing operations; experience in cassava-based (cassava to finished goods) processing is highly desirable.
- Proven track record managing multi-site operations spanning both farm and processing environments.
- Demonstrated P&L exposure with the ability to make data-driven, timely business decisions.
- Strong numerical aptitude in cost modeling, yield analysis, margin optimization, and operational forecasting.
- Familiarity with GAP, HSE, QA/QC, and regulatory requirements within agro/food processing industries.
- Proficiency with Excel, ERP/MIS systems, field data tools, and basic analytics platforms.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
