About the Role
District 9 Branded Residences (Velmonti Palace) is Abuja's upcoming landmark ultra-luxury destination, opening its doors for world-class hospitality talent! We are currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Groundskeeper to maintain the pristine beauty, safety, and elegance of our exclusive estate. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating breathtaking first impressions for our esteemed guests and residents by ensuring our lawns, gardens, and outdoor amenities consistently meet international luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily maintenance of lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, and flower beds, including mowing, weeding, pruning, and fertilizing.
- Operate, inspect, and perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment and power tools.
- Monitor and manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal plant health across the estate.
- Keep pathways, driveways, parking areas, and outdoor recreational spaces clean, safe, and free of debris.
- Plant new vegetation, flowers, and seasonal foliage to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the property.
- Identify and treat plant diseases, insect infestations, and weed problems using safe and approved methods.
- Assist with outdoor event setups, furniture placement, and general property upkeep as required by management.
- Proven experience as a groundskeeper, gardener, or in a similar landscape maintenance role, preferably within luxury hospitality or high-end residential estates.
- Relevant vocational training, certifications, or qualifications in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of plant care, turf management, and safe handling of landscaping chemicals and power equipment.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Keen attention to detail with a strong commitment to maintaining aesthetic excellence.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously within a diverse luxury hospitality team.
