We are currently looking for a driven Geosolutions Geophysicist to join our talented team in Nigeria. In this role, you will apply your expertise in various geophysical acquisition, processing, and inversion techniques to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Interface consistently with customers and advise them regarding optimal processing parameters.
- Process seismic data using appropriate industry-standard technology and proprietary software.
- Ensure that all processed geophysical data is delivered to customers on schedule.
- Define, build, and submit test jobs, interpret test results, and provide recommendations on parameters.
- Validate the accuracy and efficiency of all testing and production job sequences.
- Keep abreast of technological developments within seismic data processing and data transfer techniques.
- Investigate and report on technical problems encountered during seismic data processing operations.
- Assist the Project Leader with daily project management, velocity picking, and quality control.
- Forecast resource requirements and accurately report project status to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) in Geosciences, Geophysics, or a closely related field of study.
- Recent graduate with 0 to 2 years of post-graduation experience as a Geophysicist or in a related technical role.
- Basic understanding of signal processing, pre-processing, velocity model building, and depth imaging skillsets.
- Mandatory completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate.
- Strong willingness to learn with high attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
