About the Role
Dangote Cement Plc, Africa's leading cement producer, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager, Production to oversee and coordinate the efficient production of high-quality clinker and cement. Based in Nigeria, you will play a critical role in ensuring optimal plant capacity at all times while driving operational excellence and cost leadership across all manufacturing units.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development and articulation of the production strategy for Dangote Cement Plc.
- Create and manage the plant's production, capacity, and materials requirement plans.
- Prepare annual production budgets and ensure achievement of planned targets through resource optimization.
- Coordinate the production team to achieve daily output targets within specified quality levels, budgets, and timelines.
- Liaise with the maintenance department to coordinate planned shutdowns of production lines.
- Oversee the execution of cement kiln lining repairs, raw and cement mill operations, and packaging systems.
- Provide overall guidance, leadership, and strategic direction to the entire production workforce.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior management position.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of the local and international cement industry trends, regulations, and challenges.
