About the Role
Viju Industries Nigeria Limited, a leading and reputable firm in the Nigerian beverage production industry, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Generator Maintenance/Technician to join our dynamic operations team. In this critical role, you will ensure the uninterrupted power supply required for our manufacturing plants by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy-duty industrial gas generators.
Key Responsibilities- Perform independent troubleshooting, diagnosis, dismantling, repair, and reassembly of gas generator engines and alternators.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and spark plug adjustments.
- Carry out both minor and major mechanical engine overhauls to extend equipment lifespan.
- Test and tune generator systems to ensure optimal performance, high fuel efficiency, and strict emissions compliance.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics on control panels such as Deep Sea and ComAp, as well as wiring harnesses and excitation systems.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven, hands-on experience specifically in gas generator maintenance and overhaul, with expertise in major brands like Caterpillar, Jenbacher, Cummins, or Perkins being a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and complete major repairs independently from start to finish.
- Strong technical knowledge of gas fuel systems, ignition systems, and electronic governors.
- Possession of a technical diploma, trade test certificate, or relevant mechanical/electrical engineering degree.
- Willingness to work in or relocate to our operational plant in Igbesa, Ogun State.
