About the Role
Jumia is the leading e-commerce platform in Nigeria, offering a trusted online shopping experience with a wide range of electronics, fashion, and home appliances. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fraud Analyst to join our risk management team in Lagos. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our business and customers from financial risks, ensuring seamless and secure payment operations across our platform.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and analyze potentially fraudulent transactions to minimize fraud loss and chargebacks.
- Track and report fraud and chargeback trends in the Nigerian market, proposing actionable solutions.
- Manage the credit card chargeback process efficiently for Visa and Mastercard transactions.
- Conduct thorough KYC document verification for Jumia Pay customers to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate closely with the Customer Service team to resolve risk-related inquiries regarding blocked accounts and transactions.
- Partner with the Finance team to handle fraud refunds, chargebacks, and related financial reconciliations.
- Enforce operational risk processes, covering KYC, ATO, chargeback, and dispute management.
- Maintain and update necessary schedules and reports for the Risk team.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Solid understanding of modern payment systems and e-commerce risk dynamics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and recognize patterns.
