Key Responsibilities- Monitor transactions, accounts, and activities to identify suspicious or potentially fraudulent behaviour.
- Investigate fraud alerts, suspicious transactions, and reported incidents efficiently.
- Analyse transaction patterns and data to detect unusual activities and emerging fraud trends.
- Review customer information and supporting documentation during comprehensive fraud investigations.
- Conduct preliminary investigations and gather relevant evidence for identified cases.
- Escalate confirmed or high-risk cases to the appropriate management or relevant teams.
- Prepare accurate fraud investigation reports and maintain proper documentation of cases.
- Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Operations, and other relevant departments.
- Recommend improvements to fraud detection, prevention, and internal control processes.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in line with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in Fraud Analysis, Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Control, Audit, Banking, Fintech, or Financial Services.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and ability to identify suspicious patterns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant data analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and good report-writing skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional communication abilities.
