About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our Packing Plant team in Lagos. You will be responsible for efficiently moving materials and products using forklifts while adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols. This role is critical to supporting our warehouse, production, and dispatch operations across our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials and finished products
- Load and unload trucks and vehicles with precision and care
- Transport goods to designated locations within warehouse and production areas
- Conduct daily pre-use equipment inspections and report defects immediately
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in your work area
- Follow all company HSE procedures and safety regulations
- Assist with stock handling and inventory management as required
- Identify and communicate safety concerns to supervisors
- Minimum SSCE/WAEC or equivalent educational qualification
- Valid forklift operator license (mandatory)
- Proven experience in forklift operation and material handling
- Strong understanding of warehouse and dispatch procedures
- Knowledge of HSE regulations and safe lifting practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Basic inventory management knowledge
