About the Role
Grand Oak Limited, a leading pan-African conglomerate, is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse operations team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our supply chain efficiency by ensuring the safe and prompt handling of goods, aligning with our core values of teamwork, commitment, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material-handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods efficiently.
- Receive, stack, and organize inventory within designated warehouse zones following company safety standards.
- Perform daily pre- and post-operational safety checks and basic maintenance on material-handling machinery.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately logging moved items and updating stock databases.
- Adhere strictly to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and internal company compliance guidelines.
- Support general warehousing duties such as packaging, labeling, and order picking during peak periods.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification with 1 to 3 years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar warehousing role.
- Possession of a valid forklift operator certification or state-recognized license.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse logistics, inventory workflows, and safety procedures.
- Good physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time-management skills, and a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with operating specialized equipment such as reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts is an added advantage.
