About the Role
Omefreight Logistics Limited is a modern, Nigeria-registered logistics and supply chain company dedicated to making local and international shipping seamless, transparent, and efficient. We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our supply chain operations by handling specialized goods, particularly telecommunications equipment, ensuring that all inventory is moved, stored, and managed with the utmost care and precision.
Key Responsibilities- Operate forklifts proficiently to move, load, unload, and position warehouse equipment and inventory safely.
- Handle, sort, and store sensitive telecommunications equipment in designated secure warehouse locations.
- Conduct routine pre-operation and post-operation forklift inspections, promptly reporting any mechanical defects or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to internal warehouse safety procedures, operational protocols, and equipment-handling guidelines.
- Assist general warehouse staff with loading and unloading deliveries while actively preventing damage to goods.
- Maintain safe working practices at all times and report potential hazards, near-misses, or safety incidents to management promptly.
- Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable professional forklift operating experience within a busy warehouse or logistics environment.
- Practical knowledge of standard forklift operation, material handling, and core warehouse safety procedures.
- Valid forklift training certification or relevant trade licensing will be a strong added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to handle delicate and heavy warehouse equipment carefully and responsibly.
