About the Role
Masters Ville Children School, a first-class Montessori institution located in Ajao Estate, Isolo, Lagos, is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Food and Nutrition Teacher to join our dedicated academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students the fundamentals of food, nutrition, and healthy living, while fostering practical skills that support their overall growth and well-being.
Since our establishment in 2004, Masters Ville Children School has been committed to providing quality Montessori education for children from three months to eighteen years old. We are looking for an educator who shares our passion for nurturing young minds and promoting holistic development through creative and interactive teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging Food and Nutrition lessons in line with the school curriculum
- Teach students about balanced diets, food hygiene, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Organize practical cooking and food preparation sessions where applicable
- Create lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to track student progress
- Integrate ICT tools to enhance classroom learning experiences
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support overall student development
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance and progress
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and staff development programs
- Minimum of NCE (NCE, B.Ed., B.Sc./B.A. with PGDE or equivalent)
- Relevant teaching experience in a reputable school
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- ICT compliant with the ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
