About the Role
Zipline is transforming the future of on-demand delivery by operating the world's largest autonomous logistics network. As a Flight Operator based in Ogoja, Cross River, Nigeria, you will play a critical role in ensuring life-saving medical supplies reach health facilities safely and on time. You will work within a dynamic team to execute pre-flight inspections, manage drone launches and recoveries, and contribute to scaling our daily operations while upholding uncompromising safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform pre-flight inspections, critical safety checks, and assemble drones for scheduled delivery operations.
- Coordinate seamlessly with Zipline flight controllers to initiate safe drone launches.
- Manage aircraft recovery, disassembly, and post-flight component handling at the distribution center.
- Identify and report potential safety risks proactively to maintain a zero-harm environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to scale delivery capacity and optimize operational workflows.
- Contribute innovative ideas and feedback to continuously improve safety and efficiency.
- OND or HND in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant hands-on engineering or operational experience.
- Strong computer literacy with exceptional attention to detail and process adherence.
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 23 kg.
- Ability to remain composed and focused during high-pressure situations and extended daily operations.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime as required.
