About the Role
Jamub Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fleet / Plant Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and availability of our fleet vehicles and heavy equipment across our diverse business operations.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing schedules for all fleet vehicles and heavy equipment
- Ensure maximum uptime and operational readiness of plant machinery and vehicles
- Coordinate the deployment of fleet assets to various project sites and business units
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Monitor fuel consumption, spare parts inventory, and maintenance costs to optimise budget performance
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle and equipment maintenance history, repairs, and inspections
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of technicians, drivers, and maintenance personnel
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers for procurement of spare parts, tools, and third-party repair services
- Prepare periodic reports on fleet and plant performance, maintenance costs, and equipment condition
- Investigate equipment failures and breakdowns, implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure all fleet and plant operations align with company policies and industry best practices
- B.Eng., B.Sc., or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of proven experience in fleet management, plant engineering, or heavy equipment maintenance
- Strong knowledge of vehicle and heavy machinery mechanical systems
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning and fleet management software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership and team supervision capabilities
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
