About the Role
MAX.ng is on a mission to revolutionize Africa’s last-mile delivery and online-retail landscape by connecting consumers, businesses, and independent drivers in real-time. We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Fleet Officer to join our dynamic operations team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our vehicle assets are well-maintained, secure, and operating at peak performance to support our rapidly growing logistics network.
Key Responsibilities- Test vehicles before maintenance to diagnose issues and determine the required scope of repairs.
- Monitor repair processes at Authorized Service Workshops to ensure spare parts are utilized judiciously and standards are strictly met.
- Collaborate with the Vehicle Maintenance Manager to optimize maintenance checklists, routines, and best practices.
- Assess vehicles using pre-and post-assessment checklists for refurbishment, ensuring all work meets company quality benchmarks.
- Guide technicians on maintenance best practices and conduct regular training sessions to upskill the team.
- Manage administrative duties, including the accurate completion and filing of job cards for every facility visit.
- Minimum of an OND in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- At least 2 years of cognate experience as a vehicle technician or in fleet management.
- Strong understanding of fleet management and inventory control principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
