About the Role
Sweet Nation Foods, home to the World of Popcorn and Treats, is looking for a proactive Fleet Officer to oversee our vehicle operations. In this role, you will ensure our delivery vans and operational vehicles are safe, reliable, and operating at peak efficiency to support our nationwide distribution network and retail footprint.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain an up-to-date register of all company vehicles, including tracking insurance, licensing, and essential documentation.
- Schedule and monitor routine vehicle maintenance, prompt repairs, and servicing to minimize downtime.
- Track fuel consumption, mileage, and vehicle usage logs across various distribution routes.
- Ensure drivers strictly comply with company policies and Nigerian road traffic regulations.
- Coordinate daily vehicle allocation for van sales representatives, merchandising teams, and farm operations.
- Investigate and report vehicle incidents, accidents, or policy breaches immediately.
- Liaise with external vendors, mechanics, and insurance providers for cost-effective vehicle management.
- Prepare accurate fleet cost and maintenance reports for executive management.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and periodic performance evaluations of company drivers.
- HND or BSc in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in fleet, logistics, or transport management, preferably within the FMCG or food production sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance scheduling and Nigerian fleet documentation.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and extensive familiarity with Nigerian road networks and traffic laws.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fleet record-keeping software.
