About the Role
KKON Technologies (KKONTech) is a leading ICT and data network engineering solutions provider active in Africa since 2002. We are currently looking for a skilled Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity, optimizing cost management, and supporting strategic business decisions as we drive network transformation across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury support, and comprehensive bank reconciliations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes while preparing accurate, timely management accounts.
- Maintain general ledger integrity, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and robust internal financial controls.
- Oversee fixed asset capitalization, asset registers, inventory controls, and related reconciliations.
- Monitor capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenditure (OPEX) against approved budgets to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyse financial trends and provide actionable recommendations to executive management.
- Ensure timely tax and statutory compliance, covering VAT, WHT, CIT, PAYE, pension, and other applicable obligations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring prompt resolution of all audit findings.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior members of the finance department.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, IFRS, Nigerian taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Odoo ERP, advanced Excel, and financial data analysis; Power BI knowledge is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial modelling, reconciliations, and fixed asset management.
- Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- High integrity, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Prior experience in telecommunications, ISP, FTTH, or infrastructure industries is highly desirable.
- Active professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA) and audit experience are strong advantages.
