About the Role
DAG Industries Nigeria Limited, the authorized distributor of Bajaj motorcycles in Nigeria, is looking for a dedicated and analytical Finance Officer to join our dynamic team in Lagos. Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and accounting databases in compliance with company policies.
- Prepare timely invoices, payment schedules, bank reconciliations, and comprehensive financial reports.
- Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, operating expenses, and daily cash transactions.
- Perform meticulous general ledger reconciliations and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in the budgeting process, variance analysis, and various financial forecasting initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to local tax requirements, regulatory standards, and internal financial controls.
- Liaise effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding finance and audit matters.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Active professional accounting qualification (such as ACA, ACCA) or relevant certification is an added advantage.
- 2 to 4 years of proven relevant experience in corporate finance, auditing, or general accounting.
- Prior working experience within the FMCG, automotive, or manufacturing sectors will be highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern enterprise accounting software.
- Strong analytical mindset, high level of integrity, and exceptional attention to detail.
