About the Role
Givanas Group of Companies is a leading manufacturer and distributor of fast-moving consumer goods in Nigeria, dedicated to delivering quality products that satisfy local market demands. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance & Cost Controller to join our team for an exciting Margarine Manufacturing Plant Project based in Ibadan. In this critical role, you will oversee project financial reporting, budget monitoring, cash-flow planning, and comprehensive cost control to ensure financial efficiency and project success.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain robust project cost-control and financial reporting systems.
- Track approved CAPEX budgets, financial commitments, expenditures, and accurate forecasts.
- Review contractor invoices, payment certificates, and all related supporting documentation meticulously.
- Prepare comprehensive cash-flow forecasts, detailed cost reports, and thorough budget variance analyses.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, support financial reconciliation, and manage project asset-capitalisation records.
- Collaborate closely with procurement and project teams to monitor financial commitments and payment requirements.
- Provide essential support during internal and external audits, project close-outs, and final financial reconciliations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant finance and cost-control experience, ideally within industrial or manufacturing projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in CAPEX monitoring, project budgeting, contractor payments, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional analytical, reconciliation, and financial control skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in modern accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Possession of a relevant professional accounting qualification will be considered a strong added advantage.
