About the Role
PalmPay is looking for a detail-oriented and observant Field Verification Officer to join our growing team in Plateau. This role plays a critical part in our lending and credit assessment process, ensuring that all merchant and customer information provided during loan applications is accurate, authentic, and verifiable through on-site visits.
As a Field Verification Officer, you will spend the majority of your time in the field, conducting physical checks on business locations, confirming the authenticity of operations, and gathering reliable data to support credit decisions. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure verification activities are completed within set timelines and in full compliance with company policies and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical, on-site visits to verify merchant and customer business locations
- Confirm the authenticity of business operations and the accuracy of information provided during loan applications
- Document verification findings clearly and submit accurate, timely reports
- Support the loan processing team by ensuring all verification activities are completed within agreed timelines
- Investigate inconsistencies or discrepancies found during field visits
- Escalate suspicious findings or irregularities to the appropriate internal teams promptly
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to support informed credit decision-making
- Ensure all verification activities comply with PalmPay's policies and operational standards
- Minimum of OND, HND, or B.Sc in any discipline
- Must reside in Plateau State
- Willingness and ability to work extensively in the field
