About the Role
Baker Hughes, a global leader in oilfield services, is looking for a dedicated Field Operator - Cementing to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting and executing cementing operations at well sites by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting specialised equipment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting all activities in line with company non-negotiables, applicable processes, and cultural pillars while following established wellsite instructions.
- Preparing equipment, applying knowledge of the Permit to Work system, and assisting in the preparation of risk assessments prior to operations.
- Assisting in the preparation of onshore and offshore reports and ensuring strict adherence to company quality and operational procedures.
- Ensuring all functions and environmental procedures are performed in accordance with company safety guidelines and attending client QHSE meetings.
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- At least 3 years of proven experience as a Field Operator in cementing operations.
- General knowledge of the basic oil and gas industry landscape.
- Strong mechanical aptitude coupled with excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
