About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by building a robust financial ecosystem for businesses. We are currently looking for a results-driven Field Credit Officer to join our team in Bayelsa. In this role, you will play a crucial part in onboarding businesses, driving loan portfolio growth, and ensuring healthy repayment rates while empowering local enterprises.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, evaluate, and onboard viable businesses within Bayelsa to open and actively use Moniepoint business accounts.
- Conduct thorough credit risk assessments using the 5Cs of credit, prioritizing capacity, character, and capital.
- Perform physical site visits to potential and active borrowers' business locations to review inventory, turnover, and business books.
- Review, analyze, and make recommendations or decisions on loan requests based on comprehensive financial data.
- Meet and exceed gross loan portfolio and profitability targets while maintaining a low default rate through active monitoring.
- Minimum of an OND in a business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of proven sales experience in credit products within a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk analysis and financial evaluation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical abilities, and interpersonal communication skills.
