About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by building a robust financial ecosystem for businesses. We are currently looking for a results-driven Field Credit Officer to join our team in Akwa Ibom. In this role, you will be instrumental in onboarding viable businesses, assessing credit applications, and managing loan portfolios while maintaining profitability and ensuring timely repayments.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and onboard viable businesses within Akwa Ibom to open and actively use Moniepoint business accounts.
- Review, evaluate, and approve or decline loan requests by thoroughly analyzing available data and the 5Cs of credit.
- Conduct physical visitations to potential and active borrowers' business locations for inventory checks, financial evaluation, and turnover assessment.
- Meet and exceed gross loan portfolio and profit targets by maintaining a healthy, low-default customer base.
- Monitor active loan performance and provide strategic recommendations to management regarding credit facilities.
- Minimum of an OND in a business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in a credit sales role within a financial institution.
- Strong working knowledge of credit risk analysis and financial assessment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical abilities, and interpersonal skills.
