About the Role
Sayed Farms Limited, a leading poultry and frozen food distribution company established in 2004 with operations in Ibadan and Abuja, is seeking a hands-on and experienced Farm Foreman to support daily operations across our breeder and broiler farms. In this role, you will supervise pen attendants, monitor bird health and welfare, ensure strict compliance with biosecurity protocols, and maintain optimal environmental conditions to achieve our production targets.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise farm pen attendants and coordinate daily activities including feeding, watering, and litter management.
- Monitor bird health, behavior, mortality, and feed-water consumption, reporting any abnormalities promptly.
- Implement vaccination, medication, and biosecurity programs directed by the Veterinary team.
- Regulate environmental conditions such as temperature, ventilation, and lighting for optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate daily records of flock performance, mortality, and feed consumption.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of farm equipment while minimizing waste.
- Minimum of an OND in Animal Science, Animal Production, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in poultry farm operations, specifically in breeder or broiler production.
- Practical knowledge of poultry management, disease prevention, and farm record-keeping.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise workers and enforce safety standards.
