About the Role

We are currently recruiting a dynamic and results-driven Factory Manager - Head of Operations for our client at the Olodo Cassava Processing Factory. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee all manufacturing activities, ensuring seamless coordination from raw material supply to final dispatch while championing efficiency, quality, and sustainable business growth within the agro-processing and manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily production schedules, raw material supply chains, facility maintenance, and dispatch operations.
- Establish, implement, and monitor Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), food safety, and quality assurance systems.
- Manage operational budgets, optimize production costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and mentor high-performing factory teams to foster a culture of safety and accountability.
- Manage critical relationships with regulatory agencies, suppliers, and the local host community.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in senior plant or factory leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) within food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Proven track record in plant commissioning, turnarounds, or delivering measurable operational improvements.
- Strong financial acumen in budgeting, exceptional people-management capabilities, and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Prior hands-on experience in cassava, starch, flour, or grain processing will be a distinct advantage.
- Willingness to reside at or near the factory location in Olodo.
