About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, a leader in the multinational consumer goods sector, is looking for a skilled and motivated Factory Machine Operator to join our dynamic production team in the Finishing Plant. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and controlling mixing activities, ensuring our well-loved brands continue to meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will play a vital part in driving plant performance, adhering to strict manufacturing regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and tend mixing equipment, weighers, and conveyors to move and process production materials efficiently.
- Read and interpret batch cards to determine accurate production information, specifications, and mixing times.
- Monitor equipment performance using OEE trackers, conduct daily inspections, and identify top production losses.
- Ensure full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and Environmental Management System (EMS) guidelines.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, maintenance teams, and technicians to perform Lean Manufacturing techniques and resolve process deviations.
- Minimum of an NABTEB or National Diploma (ND) in an engineering-related discipline.
- At least 1 year of hands-on work experience in a similar machine operating position within a manufacturing environment.
- Sound knowledge of general engineering practices and basic software applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
