We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Facility Plumber to join our dynamic workplace team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of all facility water and drainage systems, supporting our thriving corporate environment through proactive maintenance and rapid emergency response.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair water supply systems, drainage, WC and urinal bowls, water heaters, kitchen sinks, and related plumbing infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve leaks, stubborn blockages, low water pressure, and equipment malfunctions efficiently.
- Inspect pipes, valves, fixtures, booster pumps, water heaters, sewage and water treatment plants, and swimming pool systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and plumbing emergencies, prioritizing urgent tasks to minimize disruption.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and work orders to accurately plan complex repairs and installations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of routine inspections, completed repairs, materials used, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate closely with facility staff and external contractors during building renovations, repairs, and scheduled shutdowns.
- Adhere strictly to local plumbing codes, safety protocols, lockout/tagout requirements, and facility operational guidelines.
- Possession of Trade Test 1, 2 & 3, or an equivalent relevant diploma.
- Proven hands-on plumbing experience, with a strong preference for commercial building or large-scale facility backgrounds.
- Advanced knowledge of pumps, sewage and water treatment plants, and swimming pool maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and utilize diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Physical capability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and handle active on-site emergencies.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
