Tutor Time School (TTSE) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our team of educators in Independence Layout, Enugu. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons that build strong foundational skills in grammar, comprehension, and literature. You will work closely with other members of staff to create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the school curriculum
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and literature to Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Elementary learners
- Assess and monitor learner progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Develop learners' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills
- Incorporate technology and modern teaching tools to enhance learning outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administration to support student development
- Maintain accurate records of learner performance and attendance
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field
- Proven teaching experience, preferably in early childhood or elementary education
- Strong knowledge of English language, grammar, and literature
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
- Strong lesson planning and classroom management skills
- Passion for teaching and nurturing children's language development
- Familiarity with digital classroom tools is an advantage
