Jacobs High School is seeking a passionate and qualified English Language Teacher to join our esteemed academic community. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and effective English Language and Literature lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic improvement.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and self-worth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve department resources, lesson plans, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, and examination results.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and behavioral development.
- Promote core school values including discipline, teamwork, and high moral standards among students.
- Minimum of a University Degree in English Language, Education, or a related field.
- Possession of a Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification is an added advantage.
- Preference will be given to candidates holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE).
- At least 3 years of proven professional teaching experience in a reputable educational institution.
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about teaching, continuous learning, and student development.
