About the Role
De Progressive Child Academy, a leading private educational institution in Dengi, Kanam Local Government Area, Plateau State, is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Teacher to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging English Language lessons that build strong reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills among students. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive English Language lessons in line with the school curriculum
- Develop students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through structured lesson plans
- Assess, evaluate, and monitor students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback
- Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning
- Prepare students adequately for internal and external examinations
- Collaborate with other teachers and school management to improve overall academic performance
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
- Instil good moral values and discipline in students in line with the academy's core principles
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities
- B.Ed, BSc, or NCE in English Language or related field
- Demonstrable teaching ability and classroom management skills
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching and mentoring young students
- Prior teaching experience is an added advantage but not compulsory
- Willingness to relocate to Dengi, Kanam LGA, Plateau State
