About the Role
Catoky International School, established in March 1998, is a renowned Christian educational institution dedicated to providing all-round primary education of the highest standards. Founded by Deaconess Comfort A.P. Ajayi, our mission is to train pupils in wisdom, knowledge, stature, and favor with God and man. We are currently looking for a dedicated and articulate English/Diction Teacher to join our vibrant academic community in Port Harcourt.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Diction lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Help students develop excellent verbal communication, reading, writing, and pronunciation skills.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Create a stimulating, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that encourages active participation.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in school events, meetings, and professional development programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, and academic performance.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of proven teaching experience in a recognized primary or secondary school.
- Strong command of the English Language with exceptional knowledge of phonetics and diction.
- Possession of relevant academic qualifications in Education, English, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
- Must reside within Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
