About the Role
Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc, a trusted leader in health and wellness originating from a historic Pfizer management buyout, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Engineering Manager to join our state-of-the-art facility in Oregun, Lagos. In this vital leadership position, you will oversee all engineering operations, plant utilities, and infrastructure to support our mission of manufacturing high-quality pharmaceutical and veterinary products that improve lives across the West African sub-region.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and optimize comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all production equipment and critical utilities.
- Ensure strict compliance with NAFDAC regulations, WHO Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines, and internal health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards.
- Oversee the operation of complex pharmaceutical utilities including HVAC, boilers, chillers, and purified water systems.
- Drive capital projects, equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing.
- Manage the departmental budget, vendor relationships, and maintenance costs while maximizing equipment uptime.
- Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and technicians to foster a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (a Master's degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 8 to 12 years of progressive engineering and maintenance experience within a pharmaceutical or FMCG manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 to 5 years demonstrated success in a managerial or leadership role.
- Profound knowledge of pharmaceutical utilities, validation protocols, CAPA management, and regulatory compliance.
