About the Role
Reliable Steel & Plastic Ind. Ltd. is looking for a technically competent and experienced Soybean Oil Refinery Plant Operator or Technician for our facility in Elele, Rivers State. In this role, you will take primary responsibility for operating, monitoring, and maintaining our soybean oil refinery plant, ensuring consistent product quality and maximum operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Independently operate and manage the soybean oil refinery plant and associated equipment.
- Monitor and control refining stages including degumming, neutralization, bleaching, deodorization, and filtration.
- Set, monitor, and adjust operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and processing time.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve operational faults, process abnormalities, and equipment malfunctions.
- Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on plant machinery.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Provide occasional technical support for minor repairs and troubleshooting of other farm equipment.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant industrial experience in soybean or vegetable oil refining.
- Degree, HND, or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Chemistry.
- Strong practical knowledge of machine parameter settings, process monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industrial pumps, motors, valves, filters, heat exchangers, and pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work on-site in Elele, Rivers State.
- Competitive salary range of NGN 220,000 to NGN 250,000 based on experience.
