About the Role
Golden Bell's Multi Concepts (GBMC) Limited, a premier hospitality consulting and management firm, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic Housekeeping and Maintenance team at our Peter Odili facility in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, comfort, and seamless operation of our hospitality facilities by proactively maintaining and repairing all electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Perform prompt and efficient troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical wiring, circuit breakers, lighting systems, and appliances.
- Ensure all electrical installations and repairs comply with safety codes, industry standards, and company policies.
- Respond swiftly to emergency electrical call-outs and resolve power issues with minimal disruption to guest services and daily operations.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance work performed, parts used, and equipment service histories.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to support facility-wide projects and general upkeep.
- Possession of relevant trade certifications, a City and Guilds certificate, Ordinary National Diploma (OND), or equivalent technical qualification in electrical engineering or related fields.
- Proven professional experience working as an electrician, preferably within the hospitality, hotel, or facilities management sector.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must reside in or be willing to commute to Peter Odili, Port Harcourt.
