About the Role
NerdzFactory is a fast-growing human capital and technology company based in Lagos, Nigeria. Operating across multiple verticals including EdTech, digital agencies, and entrepreneurial platforms, we are expanding our editorial operations for BizGrowthAfrica—a leading Pan-African digital platform serving startups, entrepreneurs, and SMEs. We are currently looking for a motivated Editorial Intern to join our dynamic team for their NYSC service year.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily content publishing, formatting, and editorial hygiene across the BizGrowthAfrica digital platform.
- Curate, verify, and upload grants, tenders, business news, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
- Support the editorial team in drafting, proofreading, and editing articles, newsletters, and digital content.
- Collaborate with the Head of Communications to streamline content operations and manage the Content Management System (CMS).
- Conduct basic research on emerging business trends, startup funding, and SME development across Africa.
- Currently serving in the NYSC program or recently graduated with a degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Familiarity with digital publishing, content management systems, and social media platforms.
- Deep interest in African entrepreneurship, startups, business news, and digital media.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in Lagos, meeting tight publishing deadlines.
- Gain hands-on experience in digital media publishing and content operations within a bootstrapped, innovative tech company.
- Work closely with experienced communications professionals and startup founders.
- Build a strong professional portfolio of published digital content and newsletters.
- Networking opportunities within the Nigerian tech, startup, and media ecosystem.
