About the Role
Whassan Nigeria Limited (WENL), a trusted provider of catering and facilities management services to the upstream oil and gas sector since 1982, is seeking a qualified and experienced Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our daily operations by providing reliable transportation services while strictly adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport company personnel, clients, and materials to designated locations within and outside the work site.
- Maintain assigned vehicles in clean, operational, and roadworthy conditions at all times.
- Perform routine vehicle checks including checking oil, water, battery, brakes, and tire pressure.
- Promptly report any mechanical faults, accidents, or required maintenance to management.
- Obey all traffic laws, road signs, and company driving policies to ensure the safety of all passengers.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and travel routes in official logs.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods or materials when required.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional driving experience, preferably within an industrial or corporate environment.
- Valid professional driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Good geographical knowledge of Nigerian roads and traffic routes.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask, maintain punctuality, and work flexible hours when necessary.
- Good organizational skills with high attention to detail regarding vehicle maintenance.
- Defensive driving certification or previous experience in the oil and gas sector will be an added advantage.
