About the Role
District 9 Branded Residences (Velmonti Palace) is Abuja's upcoming landmark ultra-luxury destination, and we are opening our doors to world-class hospitality talent. We are currently seeking an exceptional Director of Rooms / Operations to oversee our comprehensive front office, housekeeping, and guest services divisions. In this executive leadership role, you will champion our commitment to uncompromised luxury, operational excellence, and impeccable service standards, ensuring every guest enjoys an unforgettable, world-class stay at our prestigious property.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and oversee all room division operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, and Guest Relations, ensuring seamless day-to-day execution.
- Develop and implement comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) that align with ultra-luxury international hospitality benchmarks.
- Manage departmental budgets, financial forecasting, cost controls, and revenue maximization strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of hospitality professionals dedicated to delivering personalized guest services.
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores and feedback platforms, promptly resolving escalated issues and continuously improving service delivery.
- Collaborate closely with executive management and other department heads to coordinate property-wide events, VIP arrivals, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, security, and environmental regulations across all operational areas.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive operational leadership experience within five-star luxury hotels or branded residences.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing multi-faceted rooms division departments with a proven track record of elevating guest satisfaction metrics.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with high-net-worth clientele.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and proficiency in modern property management systems (PMS).
